From the Book: Isolation from fitnah while having capability to reform, and strengthening the truth and aiding it and its people, and to invalidate falsehood and it’s evidences, is from the descriptions of the weak, those that are not strong enough to counter falsehood, and from the descriptions of the forsakers.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, that he said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “A believer who is patient upon the people and patient upon their harms, is better than a believer who doesn’t mix with the people and isn’t patient upon their harms” Reported by Tirmidhi (2507) and Ibn Mājah (4031) and others.

Imām, Ibn-ul-Wazīr, may Allah have mercy upon him, in “the command to isolate” (p165) said in clarification of this: “Let the one who isolates believe the truth, which is that that isolation is only the worship of the weak who are the prey of the Shaytān when they mix with the people, and that the people of strength and high status they are those that are not harmed by mixing with the people, rather the people are corrected by them mixing with them, and they strengthen their rights, and teach their ignorant, and assist their weak, and they aid those that are upon the truth, and forsake those that are upon falsehood, one good action from their good actions, could be better than the entire actions of those that are isolating…” [End of speech]
